William Surly & The Barroom Gospel and Alison Self
William Surly is a singer songwriter who saddles his proverbial horse in Portland, Oregon, and is no stranger to the western cocktail. Within his music he mixes classic country with outlaw, honkytonk, a dash of folk, some rock, soul and a whole lot of tequila. The Barroom Gospel helps keep the dance floor swinging.
Alison plays a mix of honkytonk and old-time country on the guitar currently, although she played ukulele for her first handful of years performing. Her influences range from Loretta Lynn and Kitty Wells to Roger Miller and Bessie Smith.
